Nutrition For Your Mind
As a registered dietitian with a certification in nutritional psychology, I specialize in the diet-mental health relationship (DMHR). This connection emphasizes the idea that what you eat strongly affects your mental health and psychological well-being.
On one hand, proper nutrition ensures you are getting enough essential nutrients and minerals to support optimal mood regulation and cognitive function. On the other hand, studies show that what we eat has a profound impact on our gut and metabolic health. Imbalances in gut health and symptoms of metabolic disorders compromise brain function and are linked to poor mental health.
Therefore, my mission is to nourish your mind through nutrition, helping you discover the power food has on your psychological well-being and mental health. I aim to do so by applying an integrative nutrition approach to mental health care - focusing on your mind, gut and body.
